WELCOME!
Casa Kiwi;
where there is something for everyone. We are the only place in Trujillo
truly set up for backpackers, whether you want to relax, play or just meet
other travellers and, best of all, we're right on a secluded beach.
For those that are not backpacking, or are looking for more comfort; you will find that Casa Kiwi
is very clean and comfortable with full bathroom facilities in all rooms, quiet and safe away from the noise you might find in town, and an incredible value right on the beautiful bay of Trujillo. We also offer a safe haven for boaters, be sure to anchor in front of Casa Kiwi, as this is the safest part of the bay.
Come to Casa Kiwi and we will do our best to make
your stay in Trujillo a memorable one. Trujillo has much to offer;
whether it's the Capiro - Calentura National Park, cool waterfalls,
fishing, snorkelling, the Guaimoreto Lagoon, Garifuna villages along
the coast, blobbing on the beach or just propping up the bar.
It's all within easy reach, or stumble, depending on your time in
the bar ......
Our complex of budget accommodations,
bar, restaurant and internet cafe is situated on large grounds
with spectacular views and ensures you peace and quiet not found in
town. Read: No cocks crowing at 4am with the adjoining dog barking
chorus!

.
We also boast having the best spot in
town for watching the sun go down over a cocktail or two... it's
right out in front of the bar (and beach). If you're
into sunrises, then they are available as well — although you do have
to leave the bar for those.
It was on August 14, 1502, that Christopher Columbus
landed on the shores of Trujillo Bay. There is a local joke that says
upon leaving, Columbus told the local people not to do anything until he
got back... and they haven't. Come and see for yourself if it's
true. |

If you're looking for a place to hang
your hat in the Caribbean for awhile or the money bag is getting a
little low, then consider staying with us and helping out. We are
almost always in need of people to work in the bar and kitchen and
could often use the expertise of all kinds of trades to help us with
repairs and other odd jobs. Artists are encouraged to add to our decor. We are very flexible and can work
something out that suits you. Casa Kiwi is a very fun,
relaxing place to work and play. Don't hesitate to contact us if
you're interested, or just show up at the bar.
Please note that we sometimes have difficulty with our e-mail service. If you send us a message and we don't respond within a couple of days, please resend your message as it may have lost it's way in cyberspace.
